Clyde Manufacturing

Clyde was founded in 2025 by Chris Henjum, but inspired by his grandfather, Clyde Hartman.

Grandpa Clyde taught Chris to strike his first welding arc when he was 14 years old. From there, they welded enclosures for their family farm’s trucks so they could transport goods across the Northwest. In 1995, Chris opened Hydrafab Northwest, a metal fabrication and design company that has created bespoke products for companies across trucking, biotech, aerospace, manufacturing and more industries.

Their family’s rich history of craftsmanship and engineering has culminated in Clyde Manufacturing, founded to provide quality welded trucking solutions for Class 8 vehicles.

With more than 30 years of experience building truck accessories and 70,000 square feet of shop space located in Spokane, WA, Clyde can provide one-of-a-kind products tailored to any trucking fleet’s needs — and do it faster than any other manufacturer.

We’re committed to building the durable essentials that move the trucking industry into the future — ones that make every journey safer, smoother, and more efficient. But our dedication to quality and craft is a labor of love, tied to a long history of welding excellence.

Clyde Hartman

Born in 1926, Clyde was a welder, an Army veteran, an entrepreneur, boxer, Shriner, husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a welder in the sawmills of Washington, Idaho and California, then expanded his experience as a pipeline welder before bringing his skillset to Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane, WA.

He was strong and hardworking. So we couldn’t think of a more fitting name for the next chapter of his legacy and the products that make your trucks more efficient.

Clyde Manufacturing wears Grandpa Clyde’s name as a badge of honor, continuing his pride of craftsmanship in everything we produce.
